FEATURES

TO OPERATE   

  • Operating Code must be 4 Digits (the same digit may be used more than once. i.e. 1233)
  • Opener activates after pressing the 4-digit code, followed by the “ENTER” button.
  • If wrong buttons are pressed, correction can be made immediately. The “ENTER” button will only transmit the last 4 digits pressed
  • The keypad will blink for 15 seconds after the code is transmitted. Pressing the “Enter” button during this time will STOP or REVERSE the doors travel
  • The keypad will activate the opener even if the “Door Control Lock Switch” or “Vacation Switch” are on
SETTING PERSONAL CODE USING “LEARN” BUTTON  

  • On the motor unit, press and release the “Learn” button  (normally located on the rear side). The LED near the learn button will light for 30 seconds.  BEWARE, be sure to “press and release” the learn button, holding the learn button pressed in, will erase all remote/transmitting devices that are already programmed into unit.
  • Within 30 seconds, on the keypad, press in your new 4-digit code. Then Press and HOLD the “ENTER” button.
  • When the lights on the motor unit blink, you may release the “ENTER” button. NOTE: If the light bulbs have not been installed, or are not working, you will two clicks indicating the procedure is complete
  • Be sure NOT to be standing directly in the doors travel when testing your new code
SETTING PERSONAL CODE USING MULTI-FUNCTION WALL CONTROL – (This procedure will require to persons if the keypad has already been mounted)

  • Enter the 4-digit code you wish to use for your Personal Code on the keypad
  • Press and Hold the “ENTER” button on the keypad
  • While holding the “ENTER” button on the keypad, press and hold the “LIGHT” button on the Multi-Function Wall Control
  • Continue holding the “ENTER” button and the “LIGHT” button while you press and hold the push-bar on the Multi-Function Wall Control (all three buttons should be pressed at this point).
  • When the motor unit lights blink, it has learned and accepted the Personal Code. NOTE: If the light bulbs have not been installed, or are not working, you will two clicks indicating the procedure is complete                
CHANGE AN EXISTING, KNOWN CODE  

  • Press the existing 4-digit code then press and hold the “#” button instead of the “ENTER”
  • The opener light will blink twice – release the “#” button
  • Press the new 4-digit code followed by the “ENTER” button
  • The motor unit lights blink, it has learned and accepted the new code. NOTE: If the light bulbs have not been installed, or are not working, you will two clicks indicating the procedure is complete
SET A TEMPORARY PIN – Read details about temporary code first

  • Press the 4-digit personal code, then press and hold the ” * ” button.  When the light blinks three (3) times, release the ” * ” button
  • Press the temporary 4-digit code you wish to use, followed by the “enter” button – the opener light will blink four (4) times.
  • To set the number of hours this temporary pin will work, press the number of hours (up to 255) then press the ” * ”   button   OR
  • To set the number of times this temporary pin will work, press the number of times (up to 255) then press the ” # ” button
  • The motor unit light will blink once when the temporary code has been accepted

TO CLEAR THE TEMPORARY CODE

  • Press the 4-digit personal code, then press and hold the ” * ” button.  When the light blinks three (3) times, release the ” * ” button
  • Press the temporary 4-digit code that is already programmed in, followed by the “enter” button – the opener light will blink four (4) times.
  • If you set a number of hours the temporary pin was suppose to work, press zero (0) then press the ” * ”   button   OR
  • If you set a number of times the temporary pin was suppose to work, press zero (0) then press the ” # ” button
  • The motor unit light will blink once when the temporary code has been accepted
DETAILED TEMPORARY CODE INFORMATION 

  • Ideal for neighbors, house-sitters, visitors or service people
  • Can be limited to a preset number of uses or amount of time
  • If a temporary code has been programmed with a set amount of uses, testing the keypad will deduct 1 use for each test
  • The temporary code will continue to CLOSE the door, even after the expired number of uses or time.
  • Temporary codes will only function when used with a Chamberlain or Liftmaster Garage Door Opener
  • Temporary codes will NOT work when used with an external receiver.
BATTERY INFORMATION / REPLACEMENT  

WARNING: To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH

  • Never allow small children near batteries
  • If battery is swallowed, immediately notify doctor
  • Keypad uses a standard alkaline 9-volt battery.
  • Replace battery when the keypad illumination becomes dim.
  • Dispose of old battery properly
  • Lift Keypad cover. Battery compartment is located below push button area
  • Insert a small Phillips screwdriver into the small hole at the bottom of the cover and gently pull outward to loosen
  • Slide cover down to remove and expose battery
  • Replace existing 9-volt battery while observing correct polarity.
  • To replace battery cover, insert the lip at the top and snap into place
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS     
To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH from a moving garage door

  • ALWAYS keep remote controls out of reach of children
  • NEVER permit children to operate, or play with remote control transmitters
  • ONLY activate the garage when it can be clearly seen, to ensure there are no obstructions in the doors travel path
  • ALWAYS keep door in-sight until it has fully completed it’s travel and has come to a full stop.
  • NEVER permit anyone to cross path of moving door
  • Be sure your door is properly adjusted. This will increase your personal safety and extend the life of your opener
  • NEVER allow small children near batteries
  • If battery is swallowed, immediately notify the doctor
